"Mere color, unspoiled by meaning and unallied with definite form, can speak to the soul in a thousand ways." (Oscar Wilde)

Welcome to my world!

All paintings on this website are my own, original creations, they are one of a kind.  All rights are reserved.  There is no duplicate work. I offer both commissioned and non-commissioned work. Please don't hesitate to contact me and discuss your art vision. My art has been purchased by various art collectors and enthusiasts who stumble on my art on or off the internet.  Attorneys, medical professionals, public servants and retirees from all over the United States have purchased my art.  Most of my paintings are ready to hang, some require framing. I apply a final coat of fine art varnish on every art piece to protect buyers' investment against ultraviolet rays and dust. My paintings are all signed by me. A Certificate of Authenticity is provided upon request.

I use exclusively artist materials purchased from professional fine art stores: artist paint, professionally stretched canvas made for artists and various other mediums made for artists. I focus on quality in everything I do.

My art is meant to last forever ... for generations to come ...

Real artistic expression--like real love--is timeless and knows no obstacles. It speaks soul's language without filters, its flowing tune and seductive rhythm permanently invade veins like a mad, incurable virus.  Nothing overpowers these two items.  Both touch the most tumultuous, enigmatic chords of one's sensibilities in a frighteningly similar, raw way.  Defeat happens when the items in question are unauthentic as in the case of the games played by unevolved human vibrations. (Otilia Gaidos, 10/20/2020)

Yes, artistic expression--be that literature, fine art, performing arts or music--is love. And, love? What is love? Love is beauty, said Socrates.  And, beauty? What is beauty? Beauty is truth, Socrates said.  Art is truth. It's liberating to be truthful to ourselves and embrace love rather than fear. Truth liberates. (01/07/2023)

When I was about 11, I began realistic oil painting on plywood and made the transition to canvas by age 15.  I later switched to abstract work and have been focusing exclusively on abstract expressionism.  Abstract expressionism is my way of expressing thoughts and feelings.  My art brings abundant joy, relaxation and fulfillment to me because it offers me the chance to express the beauty of life. I'm in my element when I paint. I paint, therefore I am. When I paint, I think about the tango of life: people, emotions, travel, intercultural experiences and the beautiful world we live in.  I believe that life is beautiful because it is imperfect, and human beings are fascinating because they are unique and constantly evolving.  To me, the vibrant colors, bold concepts and imperfect shapes and lines found in my art celebrate beauty, difference, empathy, mystery, free spirit, controversy, free thought, nostalgia, truth, passion, round table dialogue, non-conformity, wonder ... My child, the light in my life, is a powerful inspiration to me, further contributing to the burst of positive energy my art evokes. (Otilia Gaidos, 05/10/2011)
